Is it Possible for a Power Supply to Work without it getting connected to the Motherboard?

Normally, all the power supplies [also including the ones with an on also off switch] and also their fans get turned on because of the signal that they receive from their motherboard. This makes it clear that the dell pc power supply does not work unless it is connected to the motherboard which sends the signal to it. So, it does not work.

How can we get around the matter of having no signal?

It is however possible for us to turn on the Lenovo power supply without having inserted the motherboard. This can be done by inserting a paper clip attaching the green as well as the black wire sockets which are on the 20 to 24 pin connectors. These 20 to 24 pin connectors with coloured wires are offered by the or in the ATX power supplies. Here there is only a single green wire which has been surrounded by a number of the black wires. If you have a different sort of black wire, then it does not matter because all of them are ground circuit wires. This will allow the user of it in powering an individual component of it instead of powering the entire machine at once. This is most commonly said to the paper clip test. This is the shorter manner to explain this process of paper clip test.

Warning: this is not recommended by us in case you do not know or do not have the experience of the internal components of the computer and do not understand electricity.

If it is done without knowing the following things then this may result in a very harmful manner and may take away your lives also. If you want to prevent damage then you should move the PSU away from the computer.
