Normally, all the power supplies
[also including the ones with an on also off switch] and also their fans get
turned on because of the signal that they receive from their motherboard. This
makes it clear that the dell pc power supply does not work unless it is
connected to the motherboard which sends the signal to it. So, it does not
work.
How can we get around the matter of
having no signal?
It is however possible for us to turn on the Lenovo power supply without having inserted the motherboard. This can be done by
